Now, *this* is progress

All in one day:

• The city inspector signed off on the porch structural work.


• The stucco guy came -- days early! -- and laid down a base coat. Good thing the inspector had signed off, or we'd have had to send him away.


• Vicente came and laid down another half-yard of bark in the yard to cover all the irrigation tubing, and hooked up the pots on the upper deck to the drip system. (He also brought the wrong size citrus trees, and then was very pissed off when we told him to go back and get the right ones. He'd been ducking Cameron's calls all week -- and he didn't bother to call from the nursery and tell us they didn't have the sizes we ordered in stock -- so I don't feel the slightest bit guilty on that front.)


• Cameron installed the porch light, and found the wires for the old doorbell.

There's tons of new growth on the garden plants, but my cameraphone isn't really up to the task of capturing it. I'll try and borrow Cameron's 'real' camera sometime this weekend and take a few shots. Lots of blossoms on the kaffir lime, tons of new growth on the plum, and some flowering on the verbena, even.
