Bits 'n' pieces
Acacia's "good" carpenter came by and installed the exterior apron under the living room window. Unfortunately, he did a crappy job.

No, it's not an optical illusion -- it really is bent and bowed. The board is under so much stress that the screw actually caused it to splinter. Acacia says they'll fix it... (anyone besides me sick of hearing that?)
Robin came back and finished up the tile patch on the front porch. It's not going to fool anyone close up, but it does look better than it did, and surprisingly good from a distance:

We did a little work today in the yard. Cameron planted two bamboo plants between the hottub and the guest-room window:

And I tied back the lemon verbena, to encourage it to grow up the fence:

We also went by the house that Sean suggested we use as the color model for our exterior paint:

Next week: The -right- dining room window will be installed next Thursday, on the 19th. And then Sean's crew is coming on the 25th (a week from Tuesday) to start painting the windows (inside and out), the living room, the dining-room baseboards, and the exterior!
